Abstract: | The author finds that using a paid matchmaker - human or electronic - to find a mate is the new natural selection. The rise of the net has contributed hugely to the proliferation of agencies. The web is a perfect medium for speedy sifting of human data and rapid creation of on- line relationships, not all of them strictly healthy or above board. Individuals reveal more about themselves more quickly over the net then they do face-to-face. Then the author answers the question why this is happening now, saying that a variety of demographic and economic are at work here. The author says that to be successful you have to keep the right mix between 37-42 year-old women and men in their 20s. |
