Abstract: | This study aims to examine whether and how the quality of the employee-organization relationship (EOR) influences the relationship (henceforth as: r-ship) btw. employee (here as: emp./emps.) perception (as: prcp.) of developmental (as: dev-al.) human resource (HR) practices (as: HR-prs.) and emp. outcomes (as: emp-outs). Based on analyses of over 590 emps. from more than 60 local savings banks in Norway, it is shown that four indicators of the EOR (perceived organizational (as: org-al.) support, affective orga-l. commitment, and procedural and interactional justice) moderated the r-ship btw. prcp. of dev-al. HR-prs. and individual work performance. A strong and direct negative r-ship was found btw. prcp. of dev-al. HR-prs. and turnover intention. Yet, this linkage was moderated by perceived procedural and interactional justice. There was no support found for a mediating role of the EOR indicators in the r-ship btw. prcp. of dev-al. HR-prs. and emp-outs. |
