| Abstract: | In the author's presentation introduced in this paper it was pointed out that, "meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" is less an option and more a necessary part of doing business. Many people turn to the concept of sustainability to identify the best companies to work for or to invest in. Philps defines sustainable development as the simultaneous pursuit of economic prosperity, environmental responsibility and social equity - or the triple bottom line. |
