| Abstract: | This paper reports on the World Values Survey analysis which explored life satisfaction in transition countries. The analysis indicates that, on average, individuals in transition economies are less satisfied with life than people in non-transition countries. Self-reported levels of satisfaction were higher in those transition countries where the standards of economic governance are advanced and inequality is low. The results also highlight the importance to provide suitable business environment for entrepreneurship. |
