Abstract:Many questions are being asked today to define the subject, propose university degree programs and to plan management training programs for industry. The basic goals of technology management are to increase the effectiveness of research, development and manufacturing and to transfer the results of these three functions into competitive products, processes and systems. There are special requirements which must be met to educate a person to perform technology management functions successfully. The education technical managers require includes project management skills, people management skills, organizing and planning skills, and other skills such as personal communication and report writing.
