Abstract:Health is the primary reason behind the surge in popularity of mineral waters over the last few years in Britain. Striking water workers in 1982 provided Waters and Robson with its first chance to market Abbey Well natural spring water to the general public. Prestigious restaurants have developed a taste for this brand of mineral water. The trade is structured in the way that it is split into the on and off-trades, the first supplying to the catering sector and the second to retail outlets, i.e. supermarkets. As the company gets bigger, it may be forced to abandon its appealing and informal sales policy to gain volume sales.
