| Abstract: | This contribution argues that problems with global trade union cooperation stem from the fact that people's social interests differ greatly according to the different stages of economic development reached in the First World, the newly industrialized countries, the transition economies and the countries of the Third World. It suggests that global cooperation amongst trade unions can only be achieved by doing away with protectionism and dumping. |
