Abstract: | The impact of technology-intensive services sectors is investigated on direct and indirect labour coefficients in a sample of OECD countries. It is found that both domestic and imported services contribute to increase productivity. Also, different service industries (transport, communication, financial and business services) are found to have a different impact on technological change in non-service sectors classified according to the Pavitt taxonomy. |
