Abstract:The article shows that making a radical change and accepting the women's imperative is not only the right thing to do, more important, it makes good economic sense. Analyzing the position of women working at the Topform Corporation, the author calls for the four actions for change which the company leaders should take: (1) acknowledge the fundamental difference between women and men, the biological fact of maternity; (2) provide flexibility for women and men who want it; (3) provide women who have basic leadership traits with the special additional management skills; (4) improve the corporate environment by removing barriers that exist for women but not for men.
