Abstract: | This article examines why critical feminist voices have faded out. It might be expected that feminist perspectives would be strongly related to the critical engagement with consumer behaviour theory. This paper begins with a overview of research on gender and consumer behaviour and how feminist theories began to change our understanding of gendered consumption. After that it explains how postmodern and postfeminist perspectives have weakened feminism as a critique of gendered consumption. |
