| Abstract: | The article deals with the part-time labour force participation of married women in urban Japan. We have applied a logit model of the part-time labour force participation and a fertility equation in a simultaneous-equation model. The model uses the 1980 Population Census data in Japan. The married women working part-time are extremely vulnerable to the business cycle. |
