Abstract:The success or failure of any firm depends largely on its ability to learn faster and more effectively than its competitors. It is suggested that the ability of an organization to learn depends on an organic view of corporate culture and strategy. Culture and strategy are highly interdependent dynamic systems that infuence and are influenced by organizational behaviour. Hence, only organizations that follow cybernetic principles of living systems - e.g. self-organization - can successfully initiate corporatewide learning processes. The concept of Strategic Evolution Management is suggested as a way to simultaneously develop culture and strategy aided by employee involvement and participation.
