Abstract:This paper shows relationships between organizational culture, image and identity. The paper suggestes an analytical framework that focuses on bridging the external and internal symbolic context of the organization, in the theoretical conceptualization of these relationships. It is argued that these concepts are symbolic, value-based constructions that are becoming increasingly intertwined, although they derive from various theoretical disciplines that have focused on different constituencies of the organization.
