| Abstract: | The author has seen a tougher, more demanding climate growing amongst the "consumers" of corporate governance - shareholders, other stakeholders,listingdirectors, and fund managers. Their main concern was over the competence. Directors are beginning to reflect on this as more searching questions are asked of them. There are pressures bubbling just below the surface of corporate governance - the structure and processes by which the ownership, performance and control of organizations is exercised. |
