Abstract:In this study the authors aim to show a practical experience in a leading Spanish engineering company to encourage people-focused knowledge management and socialization and collective learning processes within the firm. The methodology used in this study is done through an epistemological perspective. The authors conduct a survey with a phenomenological approach, targeting at accomplishing a holistic understanding and interpretation organizational processes. In addition evidence has been collected through documents and open-ended interviews. Findings of the study indicate that a knowledge-sharing culture within all levels of the management systems and organizational policies and routines is highly relevant in order to guarantee the alignment of individual and organizational mental modes.
