Abstract: | This paper aims to develop a theoretical integrative framework for organizational knowledge management (KM) and organizational culture (OC). The "competing value framework" is modified by adding a new dimension representing ethical and trusting culture. It is integrated with the SECI model of knowledge creation (KC) and conversion (KC-C) by identifying the conceptual parallels btw. the two frameworks. The interaction effects are analysed among the dimensions etc. Based on the congruity btw. the modified competing values framework and the KC-C framework, formulated are six propositions about the propensity of organizations of different dominant cultural styles to engage in the four processes of KC-C. |
