| Abstract: | Energy policy has recently taken a low profile in EC/EU affairs. However, this is likely to change and there is increasing support for an energy chapter to be included in any treaty revisions resulting from the planned 1996 intergovernmental conference. A symposium organised by the British section of the European League for Economic Cooperation (ELEC) at the Shell Centre in London on October 29, 1993, brought to the fore a number of powerful reasons for formulating a coherent EU energy policy. |
