| Abstract: | This paper uses data on the 'War Generation' (hereafter as: W.G.) taken from the Exeter Politics of Old Age project to link an empirically based political (here as: pol.) economy of generational inequality with a cultural sociology of generations. The pol. culture of the W.G. manifests both continuity and change. Understanding these dynamics requires e.g. listening to and understanding people constructing their worlds and their historical experiences, and analysing the conditions. |
