| Abstract: | The future of the international commercial airline business in Latvia has seemed somewhat cloudy of late, but now the skies might be clearing. Last month, a government commission granted the Swedish company Scandinavian Airline Systems (SAS) the right to form a new, international airline company. SAS has until August 31 to present to the Latvian government a business plan. At the same time, Baltic International USA Inc. (BIUSA) has received government assurances that its growing market will receive some protection. |
