| Abstract: | Olgerts Pavlovskis, a Latvian exile who returned to his native country to join the government, is state minister for foreign trade and the European Union. In an interview with Baltic Business Report , Pavlovskis discussed Latvia's efforts toward economic reunion with Europe. Latvia recently signed a trade agreement with the European Union. It is a very important political step. It means that Latvia is considered a part of Western Europe. IT also means that Latvian products won't have any import tariffs. |
