| Abstract: | This Cover story article deals with effective execution lying in the centre of achieving superiour business performance and purposeful action-taking (here as: a-t.) It is shown that only a relatively small proportion of managers actually engage in a purposeful a-t. It is asked e.g. what are the causes of this lack of a-t. by managers? What is different about those taking purposeful action? etc. A broad overview on some of the key findings of an investigation of the phenomenon of managerial a-t. is presented. |
