| Abstract: | The most urgent tasks facing Shenzhen city are to ensure Hong kong's long-term stability and prosperity after its return to the motherland, fulfill the task of starting an undertaking for the second time, bettering the link up with Hong kong, promote the all-round economic cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong kong. The basic objective of the two cities' link-up is to turn gradually the two cities into an international metropolis area operating by combination of the two cities' undertakings within 10 to 20 years, which will give an impetus to the economic development in South China. The basic contents are to realize the two cities' link-up in terms of the mode of economic operation, financial system, industrial structure and the construction of infrastructure. |
