| Abstract: | The reciprocal financial activities between Hong Kong and the Inland are not only instrumental to the economic development of the Inland, but also to Hong Kong's prosperity and to maintaining it as a centre of finance. Following the return of Hong Kong to China in 1997, there will be more concrete co-operative items between the two sides of enlargement of direct investment, bank financing, stock market and the internationalisation of finance of the Inland. In addition organisations should be established for frequent financial contacts and for further strengthening the co-operation and co-ordination of financial business between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. |
