| Abstract: | Being the bridgehead leading to the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong, Shenzhen has the special function which other cities can not replace. We are now promoting the economic cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong in a down-to- earth manner according to the demand of Jiang Zemin, the General Secretary of CPC that Shenzhen should play an important role in promoting Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. To this end, the following work in five aspects should be stressed at present: the cooperation in port management, industrial development, cross-border projects, and economic operational mechanism besides perfecting city functions and realizing superiority complementary. |
