Abstract:Internationalizing code from the start minimizes costs and leads to big payoffs. In the same way that little software companies often become big ones , domestically oriented software companies often become internationally competitive. The problem is that while many independent software companies like to think big, they do not always like to think international. There's a good reason for this. It's costly to localize and translate a software application - an its related documentation - for an overseas market.
