| Abstract: | Banking in Central Europe has developed fast, but risk-averse banks must learn the risk assessment skills necessary to pry open new markets, rather than just avoiding risk altogether. Visegrad banking has developed quickly, but it should now be looking to develop new areas to escape foreign competition, rather than just trying to avoid risk. Visegrad banking has reached a cross-roads. It has developed most of the basic techniques, but it has not yet developed any depth. |
