| Abstract: | This paper contends that interest in working in the field of environment has expanded dramatically in recent years. But expectations regarding future career opportunities need to be grounded in the reality of how companies are actually utilizing environmental expertise. It indicates that demand is growing primarily for these people who can play more integrative roles within organizations, and that companies are relying more and more on sensitising their existing industry specialists to become "environmentally literate professionals". |
