Abstract:At a time when the computerization of productive processes is vital to maintain competitiveness, companies are concerned about the problems caused by the consequences of rising productivity. It is indicated that these are primarily related to changing skill requirements, new job categories and means of remuneration. Based on a comparative study of the aeronautical industries in France and the United States, the impact of productivity optimization strategies on manpower utilization policies, and thus on the development of specific social relationships is highlighted.
