Abstract:This paper aims to evaluate largest corporations' position in the world's economy with the influence of basic knowledge (here as: knwl.) elements on building the competitive potential of the global business leading corporations. Based on the research project including surveys and interviews from the Fortune Global 500 corporations (2003), knowledge management (KM) is clearly found to influence companies' international competitiveness. However, not all knwl. resources (as: resrs.) are necessary. The key to success seems primarily not to be the skillful management of endless knwl., but the ability of directing activity to those knwl. resources critical for the organization's economic operations.
