| Abstract: | In the face of AIDS crisis, human resource managers must act to protect both their company and the rights of their employees. A practical and proactive approach to this problem is recommended which can help managers to develop an effective company policy. Information from recent court opinions is provided. Personnel implications from recent court rulings are considered. Employers are strongly encouraged to review their existing personnel policies to ensure reasonable accommodation to the requirements. The necessity of AIDS education is demonstrated. Seven steps to an effective AIDS education program are described and analyzed. |
