Abstract: | Time can be analysed from different aspects. Its physical, biological psychological and cultural dimensions can be distinguished. In its "cultural dimension", time is viewed in function of the knowledge, the beliefs, the values and the practices shared by different cultural communities. Some misunderstandings resulting from different perceptions of time are highlighted. They can arise during commercial negotiations, but in all the contacts we have with people belonging to other cultures. Eventually the most pragmatic approach to handle the relation to time of other cultures is made. |
