Abstract: | The Groupware Adoption Scale was designed to assess the why users of groupware systems are committed to using their systems and why they are not. Six subscales cover the aspects of user acceptance that need to be addressed by any organization wanting to adopt a new groupware system. These six are: Ease of Use, Training, Technical Support, Consultation, Work Needs Met, and System Capabilities. The psychometric properties of the Groupware Adoption Scale were assessed and found to be very good. This scale should be of use to both researchers and practitioners working in the group-ware field.
