Abstract: | In the past few years, we have seen a phenomenal growth of both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to- business (B2B) activities on the Internet. The advent of the Internet commerce has prompted the invention of several payment tools to help facilitate the completion of business transactions over the Internet. Most of these tools still fail to gain sufficient supports from online mer chants. This paper reviews some intriguing features of several major online payment instruments, their potential problems, and proposes some practical strategies to reduce the possible frauds association with the use of those instruments on the Net. |
