| Abstract: | Since 1989, the prices of raw materials and the cost of labor have been rising by a big margin and the economic efficiency of textile industry sliding down hill. So its development policy should be: 1. stabilizing the cotton output (Hebei's cotton output decreased from 11 million dans in 1991 to 1.7 million dans), 2. making great efforts to develop chemical fibre in order to supplement raw materials in short supply , 3. changing the backward state of textile industry's equipments (which are only equal to the world 1970s level), 4. adjusting the structure of products. |
