Abstract: | Jiangsu province's strategic development target of high-tech and its industries is to take Suzhou's Sigapore Industrial Park as the "dragon head" in a bid to give an impetus to the implementation of the overall strategy of development and opening in the areas along the Yangtze River with an aim at establishing a corridor with high-tech development zones and economic and technological development zones as the core and the high-tech industrial belt along the Shanghai-Nanjing line as the major axle, radiating both banks of the River. By the end of this century, Jiangsu's high-tech output value will account for 14%-17% of the province's industrial output value. The overall level of high tech industry will reach the level of moderately advanced countries in the early 1990s, occupying front place at home. |
