| Abstract: | Since the 1990s, Shanghai's industry is facing severe challenges including the " caused by the structural adjustment, puzzle resulting from the industrial transfer, the rising cost of manufacturing industry, weak market competitiveness and stagnant economic return. So it should intensify the adjustment of stock in the traditional industries, accelerate supporting industries and quicken the pace of technological progress. In addition, it should develop 6 new pillar industries including computer industry, biological and modern medical industry, new type of building materials industry, clothing industry, printing industry and foot manufacturing industry in a bid to bring along Shanghai's industrial development. |
