| Abstract: | This article considers the effects of the use of electric power and electrification on Norwegian industry between the 1896 and 1920. Particular attention is paid on the relation between electrification and productivity. The role of electric input is compared with other manufacturing elements, such as capital, labour and non-electric energy. |
