Abstract:This report considers the Italian market for photographic products and film processing services aimed at non-professional users. Comment centres mainly on the cameras listed below and on film of corresponding format, but reference is also made to the new disposable camera market. Estimates of accessories sales are also included. The shift away from specialist photographic stores, the erosion of processing costs, the fierce competition among manufacturers and a growing number of cheaper cameras have all contributed to a fall in value sales.
