| Abstract: | Sabbaticals once were a benefit only for teachers. Today, other businesses are discovering the benefits that extended leaves can offer. They are an effective way to decrease burnout, increase community involvement and minimize the effects of downsizing. To balance employees' work and personal lives and, as a result, increase productivity, some companies are providing sabbatical leave programs in addition to vacation time. |
