| Abstract: | Using three country clusters, the study reviews the relevance of paradigms focusing on rational and sociopolitical power in strategic decision-making. A model is established across the clusters for the predictive validity of a model incorporating political and rational sources of power. The conclusion is drawn that country clusters appear to moderate power relationships. The analysis covers strategic decisions, politics and rational procedures as power bases, a research method, of interest and data analyses. The author opines that incorporating some of the suggestions will enable theorists and practitioners to modify a given theory for their particular cultural setting. |
