| Abstract: | An increasing number of academics specializing in management studies are acting as corporate consultants. Meanwhile, companies are constantly seeking new innovative consulting "products" to meet their growing management requirements. This is creating the potential for a synergy to develop between these two actors. An evolution not only possible but also advantageous for all, as shown by the experience of ISEOR Socio-economic Institute of companies and organizations. The ISEOR example is difficult to generalize but it points to the the possibilities arising from links between academia, consultants and researchers. Drawing on this experience, a number of ways of reinforcing these links is outlined. |
