Abstract:Progressive European unification mirrors the American experience. The United States began as 13 separate colonies, and Americans believe that what Western Europe is going through should parallel the early years of the USA, therefore it is good and ought to be supported. The article examines the problems of European unification and states that, in scouting out possibilities in Europe, US business executives ought not to rely on past US success as a model, but instead should look to what successful European corporations are doing today.
