| Abstract: | A survey based on 100 interviews with representatives of shareholders in boards of directors of German companies revealed that German top managers agree that the control system of their companies should be reformed. The major problems the interviews revealed are presented in the article in ten points as well as the solutions proposed by the top managers taken part in the survey. The problems mentioned in the interviews relate to the way of operation of the boards as well as the method their members are selected. |
