Abstract: | After becoming NBC's CEO in 1986, Bob Wright has transformed the company into the powerhouse of TV business. He has put together an all-star team of executives and driven NBC to it's fourth consecutive year of record revenues and earnings, with more than $5 billion in revenues and an estimated $950 million in operating profits in 1996. He has expanded NBC beyond broadcasting into cable, new media, and global television, creating a diversified media company with strong prospects for growth. The management philosophy is getting great talent, giving them all the support in the world , and letting them run the machine. |
