| Abstract: | As compared with Estonia and Latvian banks, the crises have shattered the banks of Lithuania to a somewhat lesser degree. This is not to say that their existence is entirely serene and cloudless. Dr Vaidievutis focused on these matters in his paper at the international conference "From Transition to Convergence", held in Vilnius in September. Lithuanian banking too had its troubled times, namely in 1995-1996, resulting in a land-slide collapse for one large bank. |
