| Abstract: | This paper examines the substantial growth in regional inequality within Lithuania in the postsocialist era. Among others findings show that Lithuania's transition from socialism to a market economy accompanied by an unusually large jump in income equality and that residence in a city leads to a greater chance of being employed and almost surely to substantially higher average earnings. |
