| Abstract: | The paper focuses on female entrepreneurship in transitioning countries. It compares two countries, Lithuania and Ukraine, that are at different stages in the process of transformation. There are important differences in experiences of women in these countries, even though there are many common features. Therefore, there is a need to recognize the diversity that exists among transition countries, taking into consideration different inheritances from the Soviet past as well as differences in the pace of changing during the transition period. |
