| Abstract: | China's electronic materials depend largely on import. Rejoining GATT will make China's electronic material industry face the threat of cancellation of import restraightens and lowering of tariffs. Departments concerned of China should adopt policies to protect electronic material industry after joining GATT: technological standard and tariff protection are to be used; the research, making and development of electronic materials are to be subsidized by the state; and the policy of drawback of products export is to be adopted. The paper also analyzing the influence of rejoining GATT on the market of electronic materials and puts forward relevant enterprise business strategies. |
