| Abstract: | After regaining GATT, foreign banks, especially banks from developed countries, will come to China more freely than before according to "the Principle of Market Admission". This will provide China more opportunities to introduce foreign investment and be useful for Chinese banking institutions to strengthen competitive idea and to improve management and technology. It is also useful for Chinese banking institutions to become internationalized and to participate in market competition. But it will bring some harmful effects to Chinese banking. The author proposed four kinds of countermeasures. |
