| Abstract: | It is hoped that in the near future there will be great progress in realizing direct commercial intercourse between the mainland and Taiwan. It is favorable to improving further development of trade communication across the Taiwan strait and early realization of direct mailing, shipping and trading. There will be much more Taiwan investors to invest in the mainland. The favorable result of the Uruguay round negotiation will promote the further development of economic and trade relations across the Taiwan strait and improve the economic union and cooperation among the mainland, Taiwan, Hongkong and Australia. |
